Nathan Burkett is a lifelong resident of the Coastal Bend Region in Texas. After graduating from Gregory-Portland High School, Baylor University, and Texas Tech School of Law, he returned to Corpus Christi as an associate at The Burkett Law Firm from 2007-2009. In his years as an attorney, Nathan has tried more than 35 trials to verdict. His drive and success derive partly from Nathan’s upbringing as the son and grandson of local attorneys Stephen Burkett and Perry E. Burkett, respectively, as well as from the mentorship received under his uncle David Burkett. As an Of Counsel attorney since 2009, Nathan has also acted as the second-chair trial attorney at The Burkett Law Firm in several of David’s trials. Nathan has served as the President of the Criminal Law Section of the Corpus Christi Bar Association (CCBA) and as a Board Member, Secretary, and Treasurer, for the CCBA as a whole. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Corpus Christi Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
